Family Activities 

Lake Katherine is a beautiful, fun-filled place to enjoy some quality family time!  Programs will be held at the Lake Katherine Nature Center. Registration and payment must be made one week before the program by mail or in person at Lake Katherine.  NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS ARE ACCEPTED. Available Programs:

Family Star Gazing
The Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens will be hosting family astronomy nights.  The evening will feature guest astronomer, Joseph Mayer of the Chicago Astronomical Society.  Programs will begin in the Brigid O'Malley Auditorium followed by outdoor viewing with telescopes to see various planets and the first phase of the moon. Donations Accepted. No Pre-registration necessary.

Wednesdays Go Wild
Starting June 6th, Drop-in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm and create a different nature related project each week. Enjoy the Nature Center and spend a few minutes making a take home project to remember your visit. Cost: Free - Donations welcome.
