The Forest Floor- We will dig in our forest floor looking for whatever creatures we can find. We will be using magnifiers to look closely at our "treasures". A project to take home is included! Meet our salamander and one of our snakes to learn about our reptiles and amphibians. We'll also take a walk and make a craft. Day Date Time Thursday Aug. 11 9:30 AM Friday Aug. 12 9:30 AM Saturday Aug. 13 10:30 AM It's a Monarch!- Learn how a butterfly grows and changes. Our session together will include looking closely at live butterflies, playing a butterfly game, taking a walk with an insect net and creating a fluttery project to take home! Day Date Time Thursday Sept. 8 9:30 AM Friday Sept. 9 9:30 AM Saturday Sept. 10 10:30 AM Bats, bats, bats- We'll go batty discovering fun facts about bats and play a batty game too. A walk looking for bat hiding places and craft is included. Day Date Time Thursday Oct. 6 9:30 AM Friday Oct. 7 9:30 AM Saturday Oct. 8 10:30 AM Thanksgiving- Discover what it was like to be at the 1st Thanksgiving! Make your own butter, eat traditional foods, and play some games of the time period. Day Date Time Thursday Nov. 17 9:30 AM Friday Nov. 18 9:30 AM Saturday Nov. 19 10:30 AM Body Coverings- We will inspect the different types of animal body coverings; feathers, fur, and scales. Meet and handle the resident animals in our quest for knowledge, and make a project to take home.
