All current programs have a min/max of 3/10 children, and cost $5.00 per child. Includes many summertime programs as well for children between 3 and 6 years old.
1 Hour programs.

A fun and exciting way

to learn about nature

 

Little Explorers

1 hour programs for

parents and

3-6 year old children

 

All programs will be held at the Lake Katherine Environmental Learning Center. Reservations are required for all programs. Registration and payment must be made1week before the

program by mail or in person at

Lake Katherine.

Wednesdays Go Wild

 

-Nature Center Open

10:00am-5:00pm

Drop in projects

every week beginning June 3rd

Drop-in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm

and create a different nature related project each week. Enjoy the

nature center and spend a few minutes making a take home project to remember your visit. Begins June 3rd.

Cost: Free-Donations welcome


Maypole Time

We’ll bow and curtsy just as they did many years ago then dance around the maypole to celebrate spring. We will end our time with a craft to take home.

Ants on Parade- We’ll march one by one and two by two to the prairie to see how ants live and work. Viewing the ants will help us learn about the insect body parts. Singing songs and a project to take home will finish our fun together.

Fishing Fun-

Children will school together in a fishing game, examine a fish skeleton then head outdoors to fish on the lake. A fishy project to take home is included.

Wildlife Water Safari-

Our safari will lead us to find out where animals go to drink water; their tracks will lead us to the spots. A bird bath project to take home is included.

Grasshoppers- Look closely at a grasshopper, jump like a grasshopper and make grasshopper music.  A grasshopper project to take home is included. We’ll have a hopping good time.
