Hours and Directions 

Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens is open daily from dawn till dusk.

The Frank Passarelli Nature Center is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Nature Center is closed on Sundays.

Take I-55/Stevenson south to US-45/LaGrange Rd. exit south; take US-45/LaGrange Rd south to Route 83 exit; at the stoplight turn right  and travel 3 miles east to Lake Katherine Drive (7500 West).

From the South:
Take I-294 north to the 127th Street exit; at the stoplight, turn left, cross Cicero Avenue and then just over bridge, turn right onto Route 83; Lake Katherine Drive is about three miles ahead on the right, just past the stoplight at Harlem Avenue.

From the North:
Take I-294 south to the 127th Street exit; at the stoplight, turn right; just over the bridge, turn right onto Route 83; Lake Katherine Drive is about three miles ahead on the right, just past the stoplight at Harlem Avenue.

From the East:
Take I-80 or I-94 to I-294; Take I-294 north to the 127th Street exit; at the stoplight, turn left, cross Cicero Avenue and then just over bridge, turn right onto Route 83; Lake Katherine Drive is about three miles ahead on the right, just past the stoplight at Harlem Avenue.

From the West:
Take I-80 to the Harlem Avenue (SR-43) northbound exit; take 
Harlem about eight miles to Route 83 (also called College Drive
and Cal-Sag Road); turn left at Route 83; follow Route 83 about 1/4 mile to Lake Katherine Drive, which will be on your right.
