Fall Fishing Classic
Saturday, October 8 from 7am-noon
Fish the entire shore for muskie, catfish, walleye and bass during our catch and release fundraiser. $100 a ticket for fishing, food and refreshments.

Join astronomer Joe Meyer to check out the moon, planets
and stars. Free event for all ages and no registration needed. Meet near the entrance bridge. The event will be cancelled in the case of cloudy skies, rain or snow. View more details here.
Fall Hayride and Campfire
Friday, October 21 from 7pm-9:30pm
October is pumpkin time! Join Lake Katherine for a fall hayride followed by pumpkin painting, treats and songs around the campfire. Registration and payment to be made in person or by mail no later than the Monday before the event. We do not accept telephone registration. $10 per person
Feeling creative? Then why not join us for our scrapbooking weekend. We welcome everyone from skilled scrapbookers to complete beginners. $50 for three days.
Winter Holiday Hayride
Friday, December 9 from 7pm-9:30pm
Our annual holiday hayrides will feature the food, fun and traditions from the pioneers of North America. We'll ride on our decorated hay wagon through the streets of Palos Heights singing Christmas carols then return to the Nature Center to enjoy food, crafts and other activities. Registration and payment to be made in person or by mail no later than the Monday before hayride. $10 per person
February 4, 2017 from 12pm-4pm
They'll be fun aplenty at our annual winter festival with tractor rides, candle-making, crafts, petting animals, snow shoe rentals and ice rescue demonstrations. $6 entry tickets sold on the day. No fee for children two and under.
