Our annual holiday hayrides will feature classic winter traditions. We'll ride on our hay wagon through the streets of Palos Heights singing Christmas carols, and then return to the Nature Center to enjoy food, crafts and other activities. Registration and payment to be made in person or by mail no later than Monday, December 3rd.
Winter On The Lake

Dyeing of the Waterfall
Monday, March 17, 12:00 pm to 12:20 pm, FREE
Join us as we dye the waterfall green at noon in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Parking can be limited at this event so please plan accordingly.
Natural Egg Dyeing
Wednesday, April 8, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, $6 per child
This Easter, celebrate with eggs colored from natural vegetable dyes made from roots, beans, stalks, and skins. Join us as we concoct our colorful stew. Grades K-5. Preregistration is required.
Discover Nature With A Furry Friend

Lake Katherine and the Chicagoland Chapter of Love On A Leash Dog Therapy Group partner to open your eyes to the beauty of nature! While walking the paths with a dog, you'll discover the beauty of Spring and see nature come alive from its winter sleep.
Nature & Arts Festival
